Indian Association of Sacramento (IAS) is celebrating India’s 75th Independence Day (India Day) on August 15th (Sunday) and is inviting you all to the event. 

 

Utsav has teamed up with IAS. Utsav members (Udayan Chanda, Manas Ray, Shashwati Roy, Suvra Mukherjee, Pubasha Das, Ananya Nandi, Shauna Mallick) are showcasing their talents; Poulami Chatterjee and Sandipan Samaddar have organized and put together a very nice 5 minutes virtual segment which will be telecasted later that day (5 PM).

 

IAS will mandate attendees to wear masks and maintain social distancing during the in-person celebration, it will include a car parade from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, a small-scale gathering at West Lawn of Capitol Building from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and a Virtual Streaming Cultural Show from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM showcasing a diversified Indian heritage with a wide variety of regional languages, colorful costumes, ethnic dances, and music.
